In a world that is full of learning possibilities, Futuraskolan International leads the way in developing international mindedness amongst our students, staff and families. With us, they evolve to become tolerant, attentive, respectful, curious, communicative and contributing individuals to the society and the world around.
Futuraskolan wishes to make more concrete how we work with the development of global citizenship, our international profile, our promise and our value ground. In the development of global citizenship, we want to nurture an action orientation by getting more of our staff and students/children involved in community service and exchange in order to develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. This exchange is intended to happen on both a local, national and international level.
Through feeding programs, home visits, sharing of knowledge and learning the connection between Futuraskolan and the international community is strengthened.

What an incredible day Futuraskolan International had!
Our whole school came together at Stockholm Stadium for our annual School Run, while also celebrating Peace Day and raising money for AjaBajaCancer, supporting children with cancer and their families. 💛
Our students and teachers truly gave it their all, because making a difference matters! 💪✨
Throughout the day, we showed kindness, cooperation and encouragement. We cheered each other on, supported one another and ran together as one big team. It was wonderful to see our school community come together with so much energy, joy and compassion.
And to finish an already fantastic day, we enjoyed a delicious barbecue back at school. 🌭☀️
A successful, joyful and memorable day filled with team spirit, kindness, laughter and community! 🌍

🇸🇪🗳️ Today is the Day of Democracy!
What a perfect day to celebrate democracy in action. On Sunday, Sweden held its national election, and today we brought democracy into our school community.
Our students took part in our Student Council Election, bravely standing in front of the entire school to deliver their speeches and share their ideas before casting their votes using candidate ballots.
We are so proud of all our students who had the courage to step up, speak out, and make their voices heard. What incredibly brave students! 💙
Today was a wonderful reminder that democracy starts with having the courage to participate, listen to others, and make your voice count.

🗳️ DEMOCRACY IN ACTION AT #FUTURASKOLAN KOTTLA! 🇸🇪🌍
With Sweden’s national election just around the corner, our students at Futuraskolan Kottla have had the opportunity to experience democracy first-hand! 🙌
With the support and leadership of our fantastic SO teacher, students in Grades 7, 8 and 9 took part in our very own mock election — complete with real-style ballots, voting procedures and the opportunity to cast their vote just like in a real election. 🗳️✅
This was much more than a classroom activity.
It was an opportunity for our students to learn what it means to have a voice, make an informed choice and participate in a democratic society. 💬🤝
Through our Global Citizenship Program (GCP), we want students not only to learn about the world, but also to understand how they can actively participate in it and help shape its future. 🌍💡
This activity connects directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:
🕊️ SDG 16 – Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions
Promoting inclusive societies, democratic participation, justice and accountable institutions.
📚 SDG 4 – Quality Education
Giving students the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to become active and responsible global citizens.
Today they cast a mock ballot.
Tomorrow, they may help shape our society. 💙💛

As part of our Global Citizen Project, at Brunbärsvägen, we celebrated Equality Day through activities designed to help children explore fairness, respect, inclusion, and belonging. 🌍
Some groups gave to each child a puzzle piece and a photograph of themselves. They glued their picture onto the piece and then completed the rest of their body, creating their own unique little person. We then brought all the pieces together to create one big puzzle with the message “Every piece matters, no one is left out”
The puzzle helped us show the children that we are all unique, but every person is an important part of our community. Just like a puzzle, our group would not be complete without each individual piece.
Some other departments encouraged children to make self portraits and talked about how we may all look different, but each and every one of us is unique, special and equally important.
It was a beautiful opportunity to celebrate our differences while learning that everyone has a place, everyone matters, and together we belong. 💛
