In a world that is full of learning possibilities, Futuraskolan International leads the way in developing international mindedness amongst our students, staff and families. With us, they evolve to become tolerant, attentive, respectful, curious, communicative and contributing individuals to the society and the world around.
Futuraskolan wishes to make more concrete how we work with the development of global citizenship, our international profile, our promise and our value ground. In the development of global citizenship, we want to nurture an action orientation by getting more of our staff and students/children involved in community service and exchange in order to develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. This exchange is intended to happen on both a local, national and international level.
Through feeding programs, home visits, sharing of knowledge and learning the connection between Futuraskolan and the international community is strengthened.

Our learners (grade 8) kicked off their Community theme with an engaging entry point under the GCP framework 🌍. They explored plastic pollution through different lenses across UN countries, connecting global issues to local action. Exploring Math in Nature 🌿
Our children discovered numbers and shapes outdoors by using natural materials like sticks, stones, and leaves. Through play, they created circles, triangles, and counting patterns while connecting learning to the environment 🌍✨

Social-emotional learning is a vital part of our students` education. It helps them better understand social situations and empowers them to become the best version of themselves - @Stockholm, Bilingual
We are proud to be local environmental partners with Hands2Ocean, a group of volunteer divers who are cleaning up the waters around Stockholm. Last week, our 6th graders helped clean up Långholmen, hauling all kinds of trash from the nearshore waters. It’s an impactful message that while everything might look clean and nice, there are tires and metal and all kinds of trash beneath the surface. After the cleanup and environmental discussions and reflection, our learners built art projects from the trash pulled from the water and enjoyed camping and a high ropes course. What a great start to middle school and the school year!
