In a world that is full of learning possibilities, Futuraskolan International leads the way in developing international mindedness amongst our students, staff and families. With us, they evolve to become tolerant, attentive, respectful, curious, communicative and contributing individuals to the society and the world around.
Futuraskolan wishes to make more concrete how we work with the development of global citizenship, our international profile, our promise and our value ground. In the development of global citizenship, we want to nurture an action orientation by getting more of our staff and students/children involved in community service and exchange in order to develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. This exchange is intended to happen on both a local, national and international level.
Through feeding programs, home visits, sharing of knowledge and learning the connection between Futuraskolan and the international community is strengthened.

Our students spent an inspiring week exploring Greek culture, connecting with local students, and discovering how ancient wisdom meets modern sustainability. From **beach and forest clean-ups** (SDG 14 & SDG 15), to learning about **food sustainability** and responsible consumption (SDG 12), every moment helped us understand how our actions shape a better future. 🌍💚
We also dove into the world of the **Olympic Games**, from ancient traditions to modern values — reminding us of the importance of balance between **body and mind** (SDG 3). 🏛️🏅
A week of learning, growing, and building friendships across borders — all thanks to the **Erasmus+ Programme**. 💙✨

🇬🇷 Day 7 in Greece!
Our original plans changed due to weather warnings. Zeus certainly put on an unforgettable show from last evening all the way into the morning! ⚡🌧️
Instead, we spent the day connecting with our Greek friends at a local shopping center, where students got to hang out and enjoy time together. After that, we headed to a cozy restaurant for lunch before returning to the hotel to pack and relax. Some students even made the most of their free time with a spontaneous beach visit!
We wrapped up the evening with a lively pizza night at the hotel—complete with karaoke, certificate awards, and a special birthday celebration for Clara! 🎉🍕🎤🎂
What a wonderful way to close out the week. Friendships made, experiences shared, and memories we’ll keep forever.

✨ A Day of Inspiration at the Olympic Museum!✨
This afternoon our students stepped into the world where legends were born — the Olympic Museum in Athens! 🇬🇷🏛️ Through an engaging guided tour, they followed the remarkable journey of the Olympic Games from ancient Greece to the modern era, discovering how sport has always been a bridge between cultures, peace and global unity. 🕊️🔥
From the very first Olympians to today’s global athletes, the students explored artifacts, stories, symbols and values that continue to inspire millions around the world. They reflected on sportsmanship, determination, equality, and the power of collaboration. Values that move far beyond competition. 💪🌍
A day filled with curiosity, that helps shape global citizens who celebrate diversity, culture and connection. 🌿🌐
Their minds left full, their hearts inspired and the Olympic flame burning a little brighter within all of us!🔥

✨ Sustainable cooking, creativity… and a whole lot of teamwork! 🍽️🌿
Today our students stepped into the kitchens of @hotelbrainacademy for an unforgettable sustainable cooking workshop — and what an experience it was! 👩🍳👨🍳
Split into three teams, they were challenged to design and prepare a traditional Greek three-course meal from scratch. From brainstorming menus, chopping, seasoning, plating and presenting — every step required communication, leadership, responsibility and collaboration. And they nailed it! 💪🔥
The best part? Sitting down together afterward to enjoy the delicious masterpieces they created. Nothing tastes better than food made with passion, purpose and teamwork. 😋❤️
More than just cooking, this day encouraged our students to think about where food comes from, how to reduce waste, choose sustainable ingredients and make mindful decisions that support our planet and our communities. 🌍🥗

The afternoon continued to strengthen our students’ global citizenship journey. Working again with ELIX, we visited the 22nd Primary School in Athens, where our students were greeted by excited, smiling children. Their mission: help transform and revitalise the playground. 🎨🛠️
It was heartwarming to see how thoughtfully and enthusiastically our students worked, knowing their efforts would directly impact the younger children’s daily lives. These kinds of hands-on experiences teach teamwork, compassion, and a deeper understanding of community — shaping them into young people ready to make a difference in the world.
After completing the playground, there was time for tag and basketball with the kids — a beautiful moment of connection across ages, cultures, and languages #futuraskolangcp #sdg #elix #erasmusplus
