In a world that is full of learning possibilities, Futuraskolan International leads the way in developing international mindedness amongst our students, staff and families. With us, they evolve to become tolerant, attentive, respectful, curious, communicative and contributing individuals to the society and the world around.
Futuraskolan wishes to make more concrete how we work with the development of global citizenship, our international profile, our promise and our value ground. In the development of global citizenship, we want to nurture an action orientation by getting more of our staff and students/children involved in community service and exchange in order to develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. This exchange is intended to happen on both a local, national and international level.
Through feeding programs, home visits, sharing of knowledge and learning the connection between Futuraskolan and the international community is strengthened.
This Valentine’s week in Brunbärsvägen , LOVE was in everything we did. ❤️
From the youngest to the oldest they explored love in many forms: friendship, care, empathy, and respect.
Some children visited the elderly care home near our preschool where they made together beautiful Valentines cards and shared homemade cookies with them.
We also learned how to say “I love you” in different languages represented in our school.
We asked some children “what love is for you?” and they answered in their native languages. Some of their replies were: “love is eating chocolates” (Russian), “love is eating candies” (Indonesian).
Our children celebrated Valentine’s Day by spreading joy, kindness and compassion.

We have now booked workshops for the **Flamingoes** and **Peacocks** at the National Museum, and for the **Cockatoos** and **Kiwis** at the Performing Arts Museum. Each group will inform you about the dates of their outings.
For our younger groups, we will wait until the weather becomes warmer before planning their visits.

❤️ Valentine’s Bake Sale ❤️
Our GCP and Grön Flagg students at Futuraskolan Hertig Karls GCP hosted a Valentine’s bake sale to raise money for ELIX .
Students baked and helped sell their homemade treats, showing great teamwork and community spirit.
Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraiser!
Nutrition Superheroes Project
Our school group kids from Kvarsnkogen participated in the Nutrition Superheroes Project in collaboration with Rådan Preschool. The project focused on helping children explore the human body and understand how different foods provide important nutrients that help us stay healthy and strong. Together, we learned about vitamins, carbohydrates, and water, and discussed how they help us feel good and give us energy.
The children engaged in a variety of hands-on activities and also looked at photos from Rådan Preschool to see how their peers had created and worked with their own superhero ideas. We are running our fifth annual women’s hygiene drive in conjunction with International Women’s Day, to support Stockholms Stadsmission and work they do with immigrant women in need. We hope to collect many donations between now and International Women’s Day celebrated on March 9th at school. #futuraskolan #globalcitizenship #womensday
Today we came together for an inspiring ICT workshop during our Education Day at Kvarnskogen. From exploring new interactive digital tools, we dived into how technology can enhance storytelling, documentation, virtuality and playful learning in our classrooms.
