In a world that is full of learning possibilities, Futuraskolan International leads the way in developing international mindedness amongst our students, staff and families. With us, they evolve to become tolerant, attentive, respectful, curious, communicative and contributing individuals to the society and the world around.
Futuraskolan wishes to make more concrete how we work with the development of global citizenship, our international profile, our promise and our value ground. In the development of global citizenship, we want to nurture an action orientation by getting more of our staff and students/children involved in community service and exchange in order to develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. This exchange is intended to happen on both a local, national and international level.
Through feeding programs, home visits, sharing of knowledge and learning the connection between Futuraskolan and the international community is strengthened.
We have just landed in beautiful Greece with an incredible group of 26 ninth-graders from Futuraskolan schools! 🇬🇷✨ This is our second Erasmus+ adventure of this academic year, and the energy is unreal!
We’re here to connect with our partner school, support the local community, help with reforestation efforts, and dive deep into Greek culture. 🌿🌍
Our first evening set the tone perfectly — a warm dinner at a local restaurant, followed by a heartfelt gesture from our students who shared leftover meals with people experiencing homelessness. 💛 Such a powerful reminder of compassion in action and the spirit of SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, and SDG 4: Quality Education.

We celebrated World Children’s Day by exploring the official rights of the child, writing letters of hope and solidarity, comparing lives of children around the world, creating a rights violation news wall, building a children’s rights tree, making informative videos, holding assemblies and more. #globalcitizenship #rightsofthechild #futuraskolan
The last two months @futuraskolan_radan Fritids have been working in @minecraft
Working continuously with the two GCP themes for October and November (Democracy and Food Waste), our learners have built a village within a forest, trying to to destroy of the nature. They have also built farms trying to incorporate sustainable farming practices:
- Bees as pollinators,
- Polyculture,
- Agroforestry, and
- Composting.

At futuraskolan_kvarnskogen, our curious kids at dived deeper into the world of dinosaurs and their habitats! Together, we created a dinosaur landscape using recycled & natural materials, building mountains and forests with our own hands. The highlight was making a volcano from scratch—everyone joined in making & mixing up play dough, shaping the volcano, and then we did “lava” experiment!

Listening to presentations about the GCP, @erasmus_plus_projects , and @varldensbarn and their incredible work, our amazing learners then worked together to collect donations around Täby. Braving the cold - they managed an amazing total!
