In a world that is full of learning possibilities, Futuraskolan International leads the way in developing international mindedness amongst our students, staff and families. With us, they evolve to become tolerant, attentive, respectful, curious, communicative and contributing individuals to the society and the world around.
Futuraskolan wishes to make more concrete how we work with the development of global citizenship, our international profile, our promise and our value ground. In the development of global citizenship, we want to nurture an action orientation by getting more of our staff and students/children involved in community service and exchange in order to develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. This exchange is intended to happen on both a local, national and international level.
Through feeding programs, home visits, sharing of knowledge and learning the connection between Futuraskolan and the international community is strengthened.

Students from grade 8 (classes 8E and 8F) @futuraskolan_bergtorp had the chance to visit Europa House in Stockholm this week. 🇪🇺
During the visit, they learned more about how the EU functions, reflected on democracy and made meaningful connections to the Global Goals and our ongoing Global Citizenship Project (GCP).
It was an inspiring day filled with learning, critical thinking, and new perspectives on how we are all part of something bigger. 🌍🙌

Celebrating Sweden’s National Day at Futuraskolan International Preschool Näsby Park 🇸🇪🎉
Today, we had a joyful preschool-wide Circle Time to celebrate Sweden’s National Day! The children learned some fun and fascinating facts about this special day.
We talked about how people across Sweden wave the blue and yellow flag, enjoy traditional foods like meatballs, princess cake, and strawberries, and celebrate in castles and parks! We also spoke about how much this country loves sports like football, hockey, and skiing.
Together, we cheered “Hurra för Sverige!” and sang the Swedish National Anthem with pride. The celebration was made extra festive with face painting in the beautiful colours of the Swedish flag. 💛💙
It was a fun and meaningful way to learn more about Swedish culture and celebrate together!

Today was a special day at Gåshaga Preschool! 🇸🇪 We kicked off the National Day celebrations a little early, learning all about why and how we celebrate. We even listened to the national anthem and made our very own Swedish flags in blue and yellow! We had so much fun using our green screen for some festive photos.

Day 2 of Garden Week at Futuraskolan International Preschool Näsby Park!
A big thank you to our amazing parents for helping paint trees and tires, adding vibrant colour and creativity to our playground. The children had a wonderful time getting their hands dirty while planting carrots, potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, rhubarb, mint, thyme, and more!
This hands-on experience supports UN Sustainable Development Goal 15: Life on Land, as we teach our young learners the importance of caring for plants, nurturing biodiversity, and creating a greener future. Through these sustainable practices, our children learn to appreciate nature, understand where food comes from, and take an active role in protecting our environment.
Together, we’re growing not just a garden—but the values of responsibility, sustainability, and teamwork.
What a fun collaboration between some of our 9th graders and much younger learners from Futuraskolan International Pre-School Brunbärsvägen. The teens presented information to the preschoolers about experiences they had on their global citizenship trip to Greece this year. The preschoolers learned how their bake sales and other fundraising efforts help support our partner agencies in Greece that help people in need. #globalcitizenship #sdgs #futuraskolan
CPR Training for Child Safety
Hello everyone 👋
Yesterday, our educators at kvarnskogen took part in a vital CPR course focused on children’s safety. During the training we watched informative videos and completed a test byanswering questions based on what we learned and also practiced lifesaving techniques.
