PISA results – Futuraskolan – 2025-2026

Good afternoon members of the Futuraskolan community,

I have been lucky enough to have spent the past week with our amazing Student Council (elevsråd) representatives at our various schools and preschools. It has been a true pleasure hearing their thoughts and suggestions about how we could further develop our processes across the organization with the ambition to continue to deliver a world class student development program for our young learners.

Our progress throughout the past years has been largely defined by our student’s impressive academic achievements. As you are all aware, Futuraskolan consistently finds itself performing as the top free school organization in Sweden.

This past year Futuraskolan International Stockholm’s students continued their impressive academic run of being one of the top 30 schools in the country. Futuraskolan International Rådan and Futuraskolan International Kottla have set themselves apart from the rest of the country by exceeding last year’s results which placed them as the number 9 and number 11 ranked schools in Sweden.

Overall it was the hard working students in all Futuraskolan schools who helped us achieve a final grade point average of 276.9 points. Here is an overview of our rankings in comparison to the other high performing free school organizations in Sweden:

Futuraskolan AB 276,9

Internationella Engelska Skolan i Sverige AB 255,9

AcadeMedia fria grundskolor AB 240,3

Raoul Wallenbergskolorna Skaraborg AB 239,7

Kunskapsskolan i Sverige Aktiebolag 252,6

Nordic International School AB 251,6

Pysslingen Förskolor och Skolor AB 239,3

Jensen Education College AB 263,1

Vittraskolorna AB 237,5

Thoren Framtid AB 226,9

When we assess our program in the context of the international academic community we see the Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm had their international testing results place them in the top 10% of all schools in Europe. These exams are externally graded by the accrediting association that manages global PISA results. As such, they give us the opportunity to see how our program compares to other countries results, and the results are impressive.

The following tables display how our learners performed globally in Reading, Mathematics and Scientific Literacy:

By employing a student centered approach, ensuring that we are delivering high impact learning sessions and by using our international curriculum model as a foundation, we are able to consistently ensure that our amazing learners are exceeding the national and global averages for core academic subjects.

We would like to recognize our amazing leadership and teaching teams for their impressive results. We would like to thank the parents in the community for your time supporting your student in their home study sessions.

And finally, we would like to commend our amazing students on their achievement. Once again young ladies and gentlemen, your efforts brought championship results. We are honored to be working alongside all of you.

Have a great weekend ahead everyone and thank you for entrusting Futuraskolan with your students social and academic development. It is our passionate aim to honor your trust.

Sincerely,

Tom Callahan
