~ Greece Round Three, Day 2~
Our amazing students had another eventful day in Athens!
They started the morning reviewing their presentations on democracy and inclusion, getting ready to present tomorrow at Themistoklis Private School.
Next, we explored the iconic Acropolis, diving into its rich history and admiring the breathtaking beauty of this ancient site. I’ We wrapped up the day strolling through the charming streets of Plaka, soaking in its vibrant atmosphere and timeless charm.
What an unforgettable learning experience!

~Greece – Round Three, Day 3~
Today, our students joined peers from Themistoklis Private School and the Canary Islands for a workshop on inclusion for people with disabilities. They shared insights on how different countries support students with disabilities and explored ways to foster more inclusive environments. The Greek students also gave us a fantastic tour of their school, making it a truly enriching morning.
In the afternoon, we met Iro and Vicky from MIO, an NGO dedicated to environmental initiatives across 28 Euro-Mediterranean countries. Our students took action by cleaning Sef Beach, where recent rains had washed up large amounts of trash. Their hard work paid off, they collected an impressive 39.5 kg of waste!

~ Greece Round Three, Day 4~
Another fantastic day full of creativity, learning, and new experiences!
We started the day at the National Library of Athens, where our students along with Spanish and Greek students participated in a Graphic Novel Workshop (Grades 8-12). Using Al tools and their creativity, they crafted their own unique stories!
Next, we had an inspiring workshop with Iro and Vicky from MIO, an NGO dedicated to protecting the Mediterranean Sea. We learned about plastic pollution and waste, then got hands-on by creating art from recycled materials they prepared. To top it all off, we had the opportunity to enjoy a stunning panoramic view of Athens from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. The city looked absolutely breathtaking!

~Greece Round Three, Day 5~
Another incredible day filled with learning, inspiration, and meaningful experiences for our students!
The morning started with a visit to Themistoklis private school, where we gathered with Greek and Spanish students. Our students gave insightful presentations on human rights, while the Spanish students shared innovative ideas for supporting students with disabilitiesâ ideas they had developed with our students during Monday’s workshop.
A particularly moving moment was listening to the testimonies of Konstantinos, a blind student, and Lemonia, a deaf teacher. Their powerful stories deeply resonated with everyone, offering a profound perspective on resilience and inclusion.
In the afternoon, we visited the ELIX center, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to fostering volunteerism and providing educational activities for refugee children. Our students participated in sessions on children’s rights and later expressed their identities and values through creative poster-making.
It was a truly enriching day that highlighted the importance of inclusion, empathy, and collaboration! đ

Another incredible day of learning and discovery for our students!
Athens Olympic Museum ~
Our students explored the rich history of the Olympic Games, discovering the deep connection between Culture and Sport. Through inspiring exhibits, they learned about Olympic values, met legendary athletes, and embraced the spirit of Olympism, encouraging them to pursue sports and perseverance.
Ellinikon Experience Park~
In the afternoon, our students visited the Ellinikon Experience Park, where history meets innovation.
Housed in the restored Hangar C of the former Hellinikon International Airport, this space highlights sustainability and urban transformation. They engaged in interactive activities, blending nature, technology, and creativity, while exploring Greece’s most ambitious sustainable development project.
