Food For Thought, Cliffhanger Erasmus+ Project
Eight students from Futuraskolan International Bergtorp just came back to Sweden after spending a week in Italy connecting with their project partners from Italy, Greenland and France.
This journey is part of our Bergtorp students’ Erasmus + project; Cliff Hanger. They visited many museums and monuments connected to culture heritage and sustainable food -all important parts of the project’s theme and goals.
Among many things they went to the City Hall of Battipaglia where they heard the Mayor speak about their project and the importance of the future and our planet. “We have ONE planet and we really need to take care of it”. The mayor finalized the speech by saying “it is now or never”.
They also visited Pompeii, discussing with their peers, how to persevere cultural heritage in a world of global warming and climate change. It is not an easy topic, however raising awareness is of key importance in our students’ opinion.
It has been an eventful and educational week with students and teachers from France, Greenland and Italy. Our students and teachers are very grateful, a bit exhausted and of course happy to be back in Sweden with lots of new memories to look back upon 😇
