Preschool Earth Day Celebration – A Day of Collaboration and Conservation!
Our Futuraskolan Preschools joined forces for an unforgettable Earth Day celebration. The focus was on fostering environmental awareness and the importance of preserving nature. The day was filled with hands-on activities that engaged the children and instilled a sense of responsibility towards our planet.
Forest Cleanup
The highlight of the day was a collaborative forest cleanup. Children and teachers worked together to collect rubbish and tidy up the area. It was eye-opening to see how much waste we found and it sparked conversations about reducing litter.
Recycling Activities
We emphasized the importance of recycling through interactive sessions. Children learned about sorting different materials and the recycling process. It was a great way to show them that waste can be turned into something new.
Building Birdhouses
Another exciting activity was hanging up our birdhouses our learners had made from recycled materials. The children decorated them and filled them with bird feed, which they then placed in the surrounding areas. This gave them a chance to connect with nature and help our feathered friends.
